we use domino and have been using domino for years. while i have always hated the UI for its non-intuitiveness, i still admire the server for its stability. my friends accuse me of being anti-microsoft, which is not really true, but then, it is futile to protest. generally, people want you to either accept their views, or apply labels according to their own opinions. anyway, we are upgrading our messaging server and as a routine exercise of due-diligence, i searched for comparisons.
One comparison by Martijn de Jong (PDF: Lotus Domino 8.5 vs. Exchange 2010 , 41 pages) is quite interesting and puts claims made by microsoft on their exchange page, in perspective. it would be even more interesting to see someone counter this critique. I found another comparison which is a quick overview.
